IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY
Direct enlightenment engagements, trainings, workshops, and self-employment targeting the socially and economically disenfranchised segments of society.
Liaison with Federal, State and Local Governments, donor agencies, corporate bodies and religious bodies as well as other non-governmental agencies in the implementation of programs and projects that impact education, health, gender wellbeing, girl child education, cultural harmony and peaceful co-existence amongstthe different strata of society.
Pilot programs on investments, entrepreneurship and business capacity development among youths, young girls, women and other socially and economically disadvantaged groups in society.
Yearly hosting of the annual Chief Andrew Ogbonna Chikwendu Memorial Post Homous Birthday and National Colloquium on the 16th of November to be hosted in Umuahia Abia State as a platform for stimulating discussions and actions amongst strategic stakeholders on the imperative of rebuilding our communities, society, state and country through planned, collaborative, and concerted development focused activism and action.
Yearly award of a sum of money capped at N5,000,000 (Five million Naira) to of the best performing local government administrations of the seventeen local governments in Abia State using a metrics developed in collaboration with relevant government departments in Abia State and non-government organizations that assess and evaluate service delivery, infrastructure development, revenue generation, school
enrolment, academic performance of pupils and students in primary school and secondary schools, health, hygiene and sanitary practices.
THE FOUNDATION OFFICE AND CIVIC UTILITY BUILDING
The Head Office of the Foundation, an ultra-modern building of iconic design is proposed to
be built on the plot of land known as number 16 Awka Street Umuahia (which was the last
residence of Chief Andrew Ogbonna Chikwendu in Umuahia) and the adjoining plot beside it.
The location and design of the building reflects the fundamental ethos of AO which are Communal living with members of any community in which he resides; and Access to every
community member at all time.
The building and adjoining facility would host the administrative and public out-reach
activities of the foundation including meetings of the Board of Trustees. The foundation laying
ceremony of the Office Building shall be carried out on Saturday 4th June 2022 and
construction is expected to take a period of twelve months.
